This Can't Be All There Is...

Have you ever felt so empty, you need rest, you need peace, you're so worn out from trying so hard, do you ever wonder what the meaning of it all is, and after everything, you just think to yourself, there HAS got to be MORE than just this...? Well there is, why dont you look to your Creator, the one who knows everything about you, who knows your purpose, who knows what you really need, and who can provide it for you.

God loves you, and is just waiting there for you to call out to Him, for you to come to Him just as you are right now. You dont have to be perfect, you dont have to be righteous, sinless, or living any certain way, you can come to Him just as you are right now. If you think that you've done too many things, and that God wouldnt accept you, then think again. He already knows all of the things you've done, and only desires that you turn away from the things in your life that are hurting you, the things you do that have led you down a wrong path, and to turn to Him, who is waiting to embrace you through his son Jesus Christ. Let Jesus take your burdens, wash you clean from all things that have soiled you, to make you pure and blameless of all your sin. Ask Jesus to come into your heart, and give and trust your life to Him. He will walk with you, He'll be your best friend, He will never leave your side, He'll never forget you, and He will never desert you.

If you would like to ask Jesus Christ into your heart, to be the Lord and Savior of your life, here is a prayer to pray. Read it, and repeat it, and really mean it sincerely from your heart.

Absent From the Body, Present With the Lord

BIBLE MEDITATION:
2 Corinthians 5:8 - “We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.”

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
A man named Solomon Peas died. His tombstone in London reads:
“Beneath these clouds and beneath these trees,
Lies the body of Solomon Peas.
But this ain’t Peas - it’s just the pod.
Peas shelled out and went to God.”
I like that. That’s what your body is. It’s just a pod. What happens to a child of God who has trusted Christ as his personal Savior? When he closes his eyes in this life, he opens them in the next. Jesus did not say, “After two or three thousand years, you’ll be with Me in paradise.” Jesus said, “Today, truly, you’ll be with Me in paradise” (Luke 23:43).

ACTION POINT:
Are you confident that, if you died today, you’d be with Jesus in paradise? If not, then confess your sins and believe upon His name to save you. Now, go and tell someone!

What happens when you die? Are you judged immediately and enter Heaven/Hell?

Immediately upon death, every human being consciously arrives in either a literal Heaven or Hell. Hebrews 9:27 tells us that“it is appointed unto man once to die, but after this the judgment”. Where one spends eternity depends upon his decision to either accept or reject God’s free gift of salvation, the Lord Jesus Christ. II Corinthians 5:6 explains that the soul of the born-again Christian is ushered into the presence of the Lord at death while Luke 16:23 tells us that others arrive “…in Hell…being in torment”. A multitude of verses in the Scriptures confirm these facts.

There are three separate times that people will be raised from the dead.

The first time is at the Rapture. This is found in I Thessalonians 4:13-18. This will include all of those that have died during the Church age that believed on Christ and accepted Him as their Savior. This happens just before the Tribulation.

The next event is called the First Resurrection in Revelation 20:4-6. This includes the Old Testament saints as well as those who accepted Christ during the Tribulation and were killed by the antichrist for their faith.

The Second Resurrection is spoken of in Revelation 20:11-15. This will encompass all of the people who rejected Christ throughout all the ages. They will be resurrected to face the judgement for their sins.

The Most Beautiful Valentine's Day Card

The most beautiful Valentine's Day card didn't come from Hallmark, but was designed by God Himself. It had no frilly lace, satin hearts or pretty ribbons. On its cover, a blood-stained Roman cross, three rusty spikes and a crown of thorns. On the inside, eight life-changing words, "I love you and did this for you."

I hope you've received God's special gift for you. An empty tomb beats candy and roses any day!

Remember...

God's greatest blessings are sometimes dressed as trials, tests and suffering. Sometimes these circumstances are of our own making, sometimes the result of the actions of others for which we have no control. However, nothing happens in the life of a child of God that He does not allow, so He can use even the most difficult situation to bless us. Remember, what man often intends for evil, God intends for good!
